After work on Saturday Jason and I went up Hope campgrounds, up by Squaw Peak to spend our evening. We found our camping spot, then went and hunted down some wood to make our fire. That was a pain and a half, Jason ended up with some scratches on his hands and by his eye trying to chop it all in half.
We brought our own little grill, cooked us up some chicken and baked beans; quite the camping meal... Luckily, Jason has turned out to be quite the camping/mountain hero (only because of his Mesa friends that taught him well...) The camp fire took us a while to get going, I think we used enough napkins to get it started...Hopefully next time it could all come with a little more ease.......

Sacramento
A couple weeks ago Jason and I drove out to Sacramento to visit his fam! We drove all Saturday night and finally arrived there at about 4 in the morning! My brother moved to San Jose area with his family a couple of months ago so him and his family were able to come to Sacramento to see us and stay the night at the Ivancich's house. It was so good to see them and have fun hanging out by the pool with them!
On Monday, which was the 4th of July, we drove to San Fran to see Jason's aunts, uncles, and cousins. We had fun lighting fireworks and hanging out with the extended family. While we were there we were able to go to a Giants game. It was mormon night, so it was funny to see the missionaries sing the National Anthem.
And of course while we were there we had to make a little pit stop at the casino to do a little gambling. I didn't gamble because the blackjack tables minimum bet was $10. Jason played though and hurry and won $40 so we called it a night.
Sacramento was lots of fun and I can't wait until we go back!
