A Lion, A Tiger, A Bear... Oh My!!

I hadn't been to the zoo for quite some time, so it was about time I went to visit all my friends! (For those that know me, know how deep my love goes for animals! I'm not as extreme now, but as a child I would make my parents catch a spider if it were in the house, and set it outside without harming it!) Some question why I am not a vegetarian, but I just love steak too much! :) So Jason and I decided to take a trip to the Kansas City Zoo or as Jason's Dad says, "to visit his relatives, the orangutan."
We could not have picked more hot of a day to go - I thought we were going to die of heat exhaustion. Luckily, Jason was being realistic when buying tickets, instead of paying for just the regular admission, he thought it would be better to pay for the All-Inclusive Tram and Train pass so that we weren't walking all over the zoo in the freakin' heat.
It really was tons of fun, and worth the experience - might as well get it done now, so that we can enjoy it while we don't have kids; because as soon as we do, we know that we will be there all day.

So Domestic.....

So after I decided to quit selling, I slowly started to lose my mind. I was stuck at home all day, all alone, with no car, no tv, no Jason, no friends, no family, NO LIFE! Ahhh.... If I were back home in Utah I would be loving life! No job and no school would be a dream come true. I don't even know what that would be like! But out here, it is a different story! I mean, there are only so many times I can go on Facebook and Blogspot in a day....(People need to update them more often so I have something to do. Thank you. Haha)
In my attempt to remain sane, I decided to try out some "wifely duties." This is very new and foreign to me, but it was about time I gave it a try! I am proud to say that I have been making some very legit dinners lately! They are simple and quick which is why I can handle them. Thanks to Jaclyn and Collette for the recipes!
Not only have I been making delicious dinners, I have also been taking on some arts and crafts! With Hobby Lobby near by, it has brought out my creative side! Last week I made 2 floral headbands! They are only the beginning of new profession. Haha.

Golfing

Because Jason is out here working so hard, he is rewarded with 18 holes of golf! :) Yesterday we went to church, and had to skip out a little early so Jason could finish a round of golf. And of course, I wasn't going to just sit around at home and wait, so I went and cheered him on and drove the cart! (Plus, I had never watched Jason play his favorite sport.) There was an older couple in our group and the lady asked me if I golfed and how long we've been married for. I answered that I don't golf, and we've been married for 5 months. Her and her husband have been married for 50 years and she said she wanted to give me some advice. She said that I should learn to play golf because after all our kids are grown up and out of the house, we need to still have things in common and enjoy each other. I really liked that advice! So don't be surprised when you see me with my golf clubs swinging away!

Royals Baseball Game

On Saturdays the team gets done working at 4, so the "fun squad" comes up with ideas that we can do together on Saturday nights. And last Saturday they decided we would all go to the Royals Baseball game, where they played the White Sox. It was way fun! Besides the fact that it was raining! Not as many fans showed up because of the rain, so we were able to move down to the front and got way good seats! Jason even bought a new Royals hat. After the game we went and ate at Wing Stop. Jason's favorite place! As you can see in the pictures, he loves it so much, he forgot to breathe in between bites! Haha. Who needs kids? I already have a child. :) Love you J!

Kansas City!

Jason and I have now been married for 5 months. Things are going great! I didn't know it were possible, but I love him more and more everyday! Jason and I are both in school going to UVU, but we decided (okay I decided) that this summer it was a good idea to come out here to Kansas City and sell pest control. Try to make some cash flow! Well.... it's freaking hard! I tried it out and absolutely hated it! I got depressed and dreaded everyday! So, we decided it wasn't worth it for me to keep selling. Even though it was my idea, I have already quit. Haha. Poor Jason! He is still selling and is doing really well! So we are going to stay out here this summer and continue to work. I am transferring to the Mimi's Cafe out here. I hope this summer pays off!

12/12/09

After dating for a year and a half, Jason and I decided to get married! We got married December 12th on a beautiful snowy, FREEZING day at the Mt. Timpanogos temple. Even though we about froze to death taking pictures outside of the temple, it was the happiest day of my life! A day I will always cherish and never forget! Later that day we had our reception at the Provo library, where we tore up the dance floor! And then the following week we had another reception down in Glendora at Jason's parents house. It was so beautiful and I loved meeting all the Ivancich's friends!

In the Beginning....

It is still not certain of how Jason and I really met for the first time. It depends on who you ask :) If you ask Jason, he will say that we met at school when we were both talking to our friend Kylie. If you ask me, I will say that we met up at the club studio 600 when we were both dancing. Or maybe that's just when he made an impression on me :) He thinks he is black, and thinks he can dance....okay, maybe he can. I remember just watching him dance and thinking it was so hot. But we were both shy and didn't talk to each other that much. Eventually, our groups of friends started to hang out frequently so we got to know each other pretty well. That was 2 years ago this month, and we've been together ever since!
