Jimmy and Kira decided to go visit Jimmy's mission, and since him and Jason served together they invited us along! So last week we took a couple days off work to go! We first drove to Houston and stayed at Jimmy and Kira's place. And then the next morning drove to the southern tip. It was so fun seeing where Jason lived for 2 years and meet some of the families he taught! And of course, seeing Kira and Jimmy was awesome! It had been too long! And being able to see my husband for more than a couple hours a day wasn't too bad either :) I am so happy we got the chance to go visit Jason's mission! I loved it! And it saved my sanity for getting me out of our apartment for a couple of days!
(p.s.- I know I wear the same things in every picture! I brought a total of like 5 shirts here to Kansas because I thought I would be wearing the selling uniform everyday.... so don't judge me! K thanks)

Me and Kira sitting outside of the store that Jason and Jimmy bought a huge bundle of ties!
The missionaries weren't allowed to go to South Padre Island, but it was so fun to explore it with everyone and see the beautiful beach! We want to go back and rent a beach house together!
Love these guys!
My sexy husband- workin it down the beach
Jason and Jimmy brought a whole bundle of ties, like they use to do in the mission. It was a process of digging through them all, but they found some good ones!
One evening, Me, J, Kira, and Jimmy decided to do a little night swimming in our hotel pool. It was after hours and so there were no lights on. We jumped right on in, and soon after I started to become very itchy. I assumed it must have been the chlorine and that it irritated my skin. I kept having Jason scratch my back for me. After we were done swimming we walked back to our hotel room and they pointed out that I was attacked by mosquitoes!! And they were all way swollen! The funny part is I was covered, and no one else got even one. Oh wait, that wasn't funny! I spent the night icing my face so the swelling would go down!
They even got my face and neck!! :(
These families had such humble living conditions! Made me have more gratitude for what I have!
Such a sweet guy!
Even though they have so little, they still so generous and made us some delicious watermelons drinks!
I loved that this family spoke english! It was so nice to be able to have conversations with them, instead of sitting there clueless! They were so fun and they made it feel like I have known them forever! Plus and kids were so fun to play with!
Even though I couldn't understand anything they were saying, both of these families were so welcoming and so sweet! It was easy to see why Jason loves them!
Please notice my cute, new, green shoes that I bought in Texas. I got to wear them only for one day because I am an idiot and left them in our hotel room the next day! I am still very up set about the situation! After all the convincing I had to do for Jason to buy me a pair of shoes, I lose them.
We are standing in Texas, and the trees behind us are in Mexico!
